So today, I finally took the plunge and started an Etsy shop! I've been thinking about it for years and umming and ahhing over what I could do, thinking would people actually buy what I make?? I'm sure this is something every creator who is looking to sell their items passes through their minds at some point but I am constantly thinking about it. I love to make things but sometimes making things for yourself isn't as satisfying anymore as when you see someone's face when you give them something hand made by you. Them knowing the effort and time that must have gone into it just for them is something that can't be bottled. So until recently I had been dabbling in pretty much everything when it comes to textiles and teaching kids to be creative kind of makes you want to get in involved! So stemming from that, (and of course a good friend of mine is having a baby soon) I decided to make hand made items that mothers and fathers to be would be happy to place their babies in. I wanted them to be fun and cute but also have that hand made touch to them that you can rarely find in shops.
So this is my creative journey, where I am sure there will be lots of ups and downs but I am looking forward to it! Bring it on!
Please feel free to have a nose around my Etsy shop, where new items will be posted very soon :)
